The name Enjoy Ubuntu was chosen because of the great idea behind Ubuntu. Ubuntu is an African (southern African) word for humanism. “I am because we are.” Great philosophy! We want to support this great idea with our products. That is why:

The whole thing began as an informal initiative of two ladies in a living room somewhere in Nairobi.
In 2016 Silvia met Evaline, the tailor from Kawangware and proposed her to come for a day or two in the week to stitch her bag designs, which were meant as presents for her friends in Slovakia. Thanks to our friends from Slovakia and from Kenya who like our bags, we were getting orders for new products and we had to work more days a week and find more good craftsmen…
We registered Enjoy Ubuntu as Community Based Organization in 2019.
